Christopher Anthony Hohn was born in October 1966, he is the son of Paul Hohn who was a European born in Jamaica in 1939. His father moved to England in 1960. His mother, Winnifred Hohn, was a legal secretary from East Sussex.
Chris Hohn was a pupil at St. Pauls County Secondary School, gaining 13 O Levels in 1983. He further attended Southampton University, where he graduated in 1988 with first class honours in business and accounting. It was while attending Southampton University that he was influenced by a tutor into applying to Harvard Business School, to which he was quickly accepted. He completed a Master of Business Administration course, which he graduated in 1993 as a Baker Scholar, meaning he was in the top percentile of graduates.

“Jamaican” British Billionaire hedge fund.
Chris is only 56, has a net worth estimated at almost 8 billion dollars, he was educated at Harvard university & Harvard business school and has 4 children. In 1996 Hohn went to work for Perry Capital, a hedge fund on Wall street. By 1998 he was head of Perry's London operations.
In his time at Perry, Hohn made an estimated £75 million, it was in 2003 he set up his own hedge fund, "The Children's investment fund."
Here the plot thickens; this hedge fund is used to fund activists today, with a vast sum of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil receiving money from this fund, Chris also giving generously to the Climate Emergency Fund who also in turn fund climate extremists in their activist protests that have seen the loss of life and livelihood.
But it's not all winning for the ever lucky investor, in 2012-14 he divorced his wife, in what was reported to be a record divorce deal at the time for £500 million. The divorce was settled for £337 million, with no appeal from his ex-wife, which we will dive into further shortly.
Another Bill Gates, Bankman Billionaire?
Now to give one an idea of what Hohn is like, he practices yoga and does not eat meat. Very similar to the other philanthropists we all know. In conjunction with the Children's Investment Fund, he also spearheaded the "Stay on Climate" initiative. The campaign is to force companies to disclose their greenhouse emissions and then bully them into carbon payments.
Hohn also employed the now English Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak. Rishi worked as a junior analyst for the Children’s Investment Fund, where he became a partner in 2006 and left in 2009 to join former colleagues at a new hedge fund firm based in California, Theleme Partners. Launching in 2010 with $700 million. Sunak was also the director of the investment firm Catamaran Ventures, owned by his father-in-law N.R. Narayana of Infosys.
When Hohn set up his hedge fund, "The Children's Investment Fund," it regularly made contributions to "The Children's Investment Fund Foundation," which is run by his now ex-wife Jamie Cooper-Hohn. Prior to their divorce, Hohn contractually send 0.5% of the assents from TCI to his wife's fund, which returned an 11% return. Hohn claims he did this to "motivate himself" to be more charitable.
Following the couple's divorce proceedings in 2012-14 lead to the official splitting of the trust and the foundation, with the 0.5% payments no longer "contractually" obliged, but may do so on a discretionary basis.
This might add some sense as to why Miss Cooper-Hohn was happy to get £337 million not the £500 she was seeking with no appeal.

However, in 2018 Hohn paid himself £200 Million in dividend payments, more than the fund made in profit. He took, $274Million in 2017, $364 Million in 2016 and in 2015 his $250 million earnings placed him 12th among the top 25 hedge fund managers.
In 2019 he build a £730 million stake in Heathrow airport via a range of investment companies. From March 2019 to March 2020 he paid himself $470 million, the highest annual amount in the UK that year.
Climate Extremism Pays
So it would seem that activism pays very well. As of January 2022 Hohn was the largest donor to Extinction Rebellion. In April 2020 he also made a £2.4 million donation to purchase 100 SAMBA II machines to test for Covid-19.
Chris Hohn remarried in 2022 to Kylie Hohn (Nee Richardson), who is also a Harvard graduate who has also taught at Harvard and Cambridge. She is also the CEO of LightEn Foundation. As has come to light recently with the FXT fiasco, these billionaires often use "woke" politics and activism to shield them from scrutiny.
Upon his divorce being finalised, Hohn said “Money doesn’t bring happiness.” However one could argue, gaining £75 million, having the now PM work for you, bounce back from a £337 million divorce deal to astonishing heights. To a point, you can control and influence politics not just with money and jobs, like Rishis, but by buying protesters like Soros. I’d be pretty happy too.
Is Chris Hohn one of these degenerate vultures, making billions while influencing and funding extremists to reinforce policies that will in turn net them even more money and even more control?
Well, for a guy who has seen his net worth rise by a factor of 8 while most have been in decline, it does raise an eyebrow.
